Best time to visit Seville
Mid-March to May and October to early November
Spring is Seville at its most glorious, with orange blossom, warm days and the city's two great fiestas, but prices peak and rooms vanish around Semana Santa and the Feria. Autumn brings similar warmth with fewer crowds. Winter is mild, sunny and cheap, while July and August are among the hottest in Europe, regularly passing 40C.

Timing tips for Seville
- Book hotels four to six months ahead for Semana Santa and the Feria de Abril; prices can double and minimum stays apply.
- In summer, sightsee from 8am to noon, rest through the afternoon and head out after 9pm like the locals do.
- Pre-book Real Alcazar and Cathedral tickets online year-round, and note Holy Week processions block many central streets.
